The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Academy Performance Psychologist to join our dynamic Academy Performance Support team.
Reporting to and working alongside the Head of Academy Performance Support, the successful candidate will:
• Lead the ongoing development, delivery and evaluation of an evidence-based psychology support curriculum across the Academy.
• Provide individual psychological support to identified players, while delivering age-appropriate group workshops across all Academy age groups.
• Contribute to Individual Learning Plan (ILP) meetings for Academy players where appropriate, and support end-of-mesocycle review meetings for all U15–U18 players.
• Deliver education and development opportunities for Academy staff, ensuring a holistic and integrated approach to psychological support across the player development pathway.
• Act as a key point of contact for player psychology support needs, working collaboratively with members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
• Attend mandatory training and professional development activities as required by the Academy Manager or Head of Academy Performance Support.
• Undertake any other duties reasonably required by the Academy Manager or Head of Academy Performance Support.
