Coventry City Football Club is seeking a First Team Performance Analyst to join our Performance Analysis department, working full-time at the club’s Training Ground.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-driven First Team Performance Analyst to join our high-performance environment and play a key role in supporting the delivery of our football philosophy. Working closely with the First Team coaching and performance analysis staff, the successful candidate will provide insightful, accurate, and timely analysis to inform decision- making across training and match-day contexts. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious analyst to contribute at the highest level and make a meaningful impact on team performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

• Assist with the creation of detailed, informed opposition analysis through video, data and opposition reports delivered to the Manager, coaching staff, and players.

• Work with the first-team coaching staff to produce specific insights on opposition individual, unit, and team performance.

• Assist with the match-day analysis process including filming and live coding all first-team matches (home and away).

• Filming and coding of all first-team training sessions using the training group IP camera systems.

• Support the response to ad-hoc requests from the coaching staff & Head of Analysis.

• Being proactive in the identification and implementation of performance analysis-based

• CPD learning activities for the department.

Qualifications, Skills, Criteria

Essential

• Educated to degree-level in a related field.

• Performance Analysis experience within a professional footballing environment.

• Strong proficiency with analysis software such as; Sportscode, Studio & Matchtracker.

• Experienced in using and interrogating common data platforms such as StatsBomb,

• WyScout, Second Spectrum, Impect.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills – specifically the ability to explain

• analytical findings to coaches, players and football staff in a practical, football-specific manner

• Strong understanding of football match analysis and tactical principles

Desirable

• Post-graduate degree in related field.

• Familiarity with video analysis workflows and integration of data into visual reporting tools.

• Knowledge of the EFL Championship and the performance demands of the league.

• Ability to work irregular and unsociable hours as required.
